1972 Centennial Needlework
"Every Wednesday afternoon during summer of 1972 a group of young girls met and
sewed together to make a needlework representation of the history of Upper Nyack. The immediate occasion for the effort was the
Upper Nyack Village Centennial Celebration. On the day of the celebration, Sept. 16, 1972, the girls carried their banner in
the parade and then presented it to the Village to be hung in the Village Hall."
